A Note About Locations

The locations featured below are some of my absolute favorites for on-location photo sessions in the area. They are each fun to explore and provide a variety of different background looks. They range in style from rustic to homey. Take a look through the example photos to see which style fits you best. If you have a location in mind that is not featured below, please feel free to tell me about it. There are many additional possibilities and I happy to look into other locations to find out if we need to obtain permits or permissions. Some of the locations listed below do require permission or permits. I am always happy to coordinate that between my clients and the location. Any permit fees are added to your session fee.

Hopewell Furnace

Hopewell is a beautiful site located in Elverson. It’s a working National Historic site and a very popular location for pictures. It features bridges, stone buildings, meadows, and many more beautiful features.

Lock Ridge Furnace

Lock Ridge in Alburtis is one of my favorites. It has stone walls, stone arches, bridges, a stone house structure and so much more. While it is a bit of a drive, it is so worth it.

Fischer’s Park

Fischer’s Park is located near Skippack.

Knox’s Quarters

This old farm is located in Valley Forge and is a popular location. It features meadows nestled into valleys, an old white stucco house, old green and white painted barn, stone paths, and my favorite the “chicken coop”. The permit fee for Knox Quarters is $75 and permits take 3 weeks to process.

Waterworks

This small but beautiful location is located in Collegeville/Trappe. It features a bridge and a waterfall as well as many walking paths.

Victory Park

This adorable little park is located in Royersford. It features a couple of bridges, stone stairs, and lots of open space. During the weekends and evenings, we have to watch for events that happen on the stage there.

Henry Antes Plantation

The Henry Antes House is a pretty little spot located in Perkiomenville. It’s a historic museum now with beautiful spots all around the property. This site does require a donation to be made to the Goschenhoppen Historians. I am more than happy to facilitate that for you.

Kennedy Covered Bridge

Located in Phoenixville right near the Kimberton Waldorf School. The covered bridge is a perfect spot for family photos.

Personal Properties

Private property is an option for your photo session as well. Using your home makes truly unique and personal portraits. We can use the gardens around your home or find nice settings inside.
